4 month post op update............sigh

so ive been in pt for 9 weeks now and its not making any difference....i went to my pcp a week ago and he oredered a cervical mri...ins denied it, so i called them yellin at the ins co...who r they to say if im in need of the mri. my dr ordered it so they should just do it, they r not drs. UGH!!! so my pcp is tryin to set up an appt with my nl. my next appt isnt til may, hes overbooked with patients. so i called dr oro and talked to kimberly and she says what im describing sounds like occipital neuralgia....thats what they said i had before til he opened my head and found a mess. i refuse to do nerve blocks again. im just soo tired of the pain and the waiting game. this chiari life *****. not to mention i have had a headache for 4 days now...the whole back of my head hurts, my neck hurts and a spot in my neck by the upper vertebrae has been killin me for a few weeks.....im so fed up with drs and yet the run around crap again....sorry needed to vent...u think they would take us seriously by now....not to mention im tired of my family askin how im doin because i know they will never understand so i just tell them im ok....thanks for listening         Happy Holidays to everyone....hopefully painfree

Insurance Companies suck!  

I hope that things get better as this just *****!  But I can tell you it can take a while for things to work themselves out!

But I truly think they need to get a image to be sure!  Hang in there the best that you can but really try to rest as it's the best for you noggin!

So sorry to hear your not feeling well, and the flustration with family.  Some people just don't understand.  I'm hoping your MRI will come through for you.  I know you don't need or deserve the worry of all of this right now.  Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and wishing for better days ahead for you.

  HI Dana...I am so sorry u r still having issues not only with ur pain, but ins and Drs....it is so utterly frustrating.....

Can Dr O send the request thru and u  just get it there? I had  a MRI RX'd via a fax since I was out of state just so the ins comp would approve it....many times they deny them when it is out of the expertise of the PCP,  that is y it is denied, not that u need it.....I would ask them to pay for u to fly back to see Dr O....and see what they say about that...lol...
