Cerebellar slump help

I'm 5 years post decomp and have just been told I have a slump which is compressing my brain stem. Can this be life threatening?

  Not sure of the term "box surgery" but I know when there is cerebral ptosis, they will want to get in as soon as possible to relieve the pressure on the brain stem.

Typically I have heard they use a titanium mesh sling to help hold the cerebellum in place and prevent the compression.

Thank you. He said my tonsils are still low also. He says I need the box surgery?? He also said to not strain in any way. He wants me back within 3 weeks for the surgery. Is that fast?

  Brain slump or cerebral ptosis can be life threatening depending on how much of the brain is slumping onto the brain stem. Compression can cause one to stop breathing.....
