Body Pain

Hello all,

A few updates. I went to see my new neuro at U&L and he took me off all pain meds and put me on Keppra, I have to say that so far it does help with the headaches. I am now starting to notice at night when I have been in bed for about 15 min my ENTIRE body starts to ache, from head to toe. It is so bad that I can't sleep and want to cry. Does anyone else have this happen to them? It also does it at my desk if I sit to long. I asked my new Neuro about the pain and he said that I need to see my PCP becauce he only deals with headaches. Oh how I can't wait for Dr. Di to get to his new place.
As always thanks for any and all advice...

Tina

I have body pain too.  Doesnt seem to be my whole body at once just random pain legs, arms, back, etc.  You have dermatomes throughout your body and are in relation to the spinal nerves.  So it makes sense we can have wipespread body pain.  Probably the reason so many people with CM are misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia.  I havent heard of Keppra I am glad it is helping with your headaches.

I am going to suggest the hot soak when you have that kind of pain.  I found some amazing bath oil at Walmart for Aches and Pains.  Smells mediciney but it works wonders when you just feel achy all over.  Sorry you have a NL that doesnt want to help with anything else.

I hope this helps.  Feel better!

Hi...sorry u r having these issues...and a neuro that only deals with HA's....goodness...well neway what I would expect this might be is just all ur muscles reacting to relaxing....as I mentioned in another thread we tend to hold our selves tight...we tighten our muscles trying to control balance....and to just forge onward...that I feel the muscles release and we feel it....even at ur desk u may hold ur self tight but in a diff way, and u may relax from time to time...which might cause the pain.....

Try to do more relaxation techniques during the day, be aware how u hold urself...look into a book on Fieldenkrais....posture and how we hold ourselves will affect how we feel       .
