Ur Dr should have in ur file that ur temp is typically low from all ur visits....I know my Dr knew as well as he knew my BP was always low too....if need be keep a record of it urself...I have a book I take to each appointment....I list the date and time, my weight, BP, temp, every vital they take while I am there plus all we spoke about.
U will have a record then to show ur Dr what ur temps r if he can not read ur file.....
Yeah, try telling your typical dr that 99 is a fever, right? :)
When I was contemplating my first surgery, I got an opinion from a heart/lung surgeon who was giving it up for "the elegance of acupuncture". He still believed in surgery--advised me to have it--he just didn't want to do it anymore.
(Last i heard, he was running one of the UN health organizations).
I really valued his opinion--he didn't even charge me either--as someone who truly understands complementary medicine.
Yes, there was no way to detect the Chiari malformation, and I only got temporary relief from acupuncture. But, you take what relief you can get.
Hi....I always had a low temp too...I have not checked it lately or had an issue to do so....so eve tho ur temp reads low it may be high for u.
I have a friend with Chiari, tC, POTS, and EDS and she had success with acupuncture too...but did end up with a few surgeries as I know it can help with symptoms but I do not know if it can help with the initial problem.
My acupuncturist, who had moved away (& I declined rapidly after that), was in town & treated me. I was telling him about my low temp, & he said my pulse was very weak, weaker than ever.
He has a Much better idea than I do why acupuncture works, but it certainly kept me patched up before I had a correct Dx. I don't regret surgery at all, but I probably wouldn't have considered it if he had stayed in town. It just wouldn't even have entered my mind.
for those who refuse to consider surgery, the *right* acupuncturist might be a godsend.
He may even have correctly Dx'd my cat! (My vet is stumped)
Well, I dug out my old mercury thermometer, which reads 96.6, so at least I dont have to buy a new thermometer, lol.
