Sensitivity Problem (WOMEN ONLY)

So, when I have my period, I have tried to wear tampons several times.  I put them in correctly, but every time, it becomes uncomfortable and I soon take it out.  I haven't yet tried the slender tampons as they are not easy to find anymore (even though this was the kind my OB/GYN recommended I try), but I was wondering if anybody else with Chiari has had the same problem.  It just would be nice to be able to wear them during the summer.  Thanks in advance!

Hi lilsisasu,  I agree, I think it has to do with EDS Hypermobility.  Your tissue might be too loose and is pushing the tampon down.  Not sure if Tethered Cord may present a problem with ur vagina pelvis etc.  But these 2 situations may explain a possible problem than the actual Chiari?  But hey,  Its all related.  Good luck

Hi lilsisasu and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I have not had a monthly in many years ( premature ovarian failure) but I do remember having the same type of issue back then...only I was not DXd with Chiari then....and I do think it is more an EDS issue then Chiari alone.

When were you DX'd with Chiari and have they found you have any  related conditions?
