f u have a goiter go have it biopsied as some can be malignant....please have this checked and make sure they r doing the right testing..this should be checked every 6 months.
@viva!!. lmao!! so true..I also has.a mass , goiter, that was.confirmed thru an ultrasound. my thyroid is normal,.it has been getting higher from.what i can tell looking at my.bloodbwork.from.the.last few months. but its still within the normal range. I was supposed get it biopsy,.was the old pcp in ny, wanted to do. I moved and along with everything else, i never got it done. Is it bad if you dont have.biopsy?? what can really be done to it?
Yes, WE do. This community is like the combined CDC, NIH, Health Department, shrink's office, church, And parent!
well we have to spread the word...huh?...lol....
I cant wait to learn what Chiari causes, what causes Chiari, and how extensive these overlapping symptoms & comorbidities are. My NS only has the zillion symptoms listed & the (mis)dx's of CFS & FMS.
Or at least that's all he gave me in his outcomes.
Lots of info here at this site, if only someone could harvest it.
well I know some ENT's treat thyroid issues, and not all ENDO's r the best either...that is y I have my PCP overseeing my thyroid....
if it is a good Dr, then I guess it does not really matter....as long as they know how to treat u....I had an ENDO that was more into treating diabetes and was not up on Hashi's....so just like Chiari u have to research the Dr and see what they know.
.I even asked the girl twice if she was sure, and she was sure I needed to see ENT...??strange.
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!
Really an ENT?...hmmm would think it would be an ENDO.....hmmm
This is where I got the symptoms list and I like to refer to this link for info....u may find something here to help u too.

I have many of these symptoms. I also had a US on my thyroid. They reported back to me that I have 5mm nodules on left and right.
Symptoms

Chest pains
Cold intolerance; cold hands and feet
Constipation
Depression
Dry, coarse skin
Early graying of hair
Exhaustion after exercise
Frequent colds and flu and difficulty recovering from infection
Headaches, including migraines
High cholesterol, especially LDL
Infertility; miscarriage
Low basal temperature
Low libido
Muscle cramps/tenderness
Hair loss
Restless leg syndrome
Seasonal (cold weather) exacerbation of symptoms
Severe PMS
Sleep disturbances
Slowed speech and ankle reflexes
Tired, aching muscles
Weak, brittle nails
Weight gain
Such good news Jenny...keep us posted on what u find out !!!
My pcp listened to my concerns and I've got to go to the lab for tests now; TSH, T-3, T-4, free tryroxine, etc. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this.
She also changed my diabetes med since the one I was on is notorious for causing weight gain.
