Does this never END????

Wow. So I have sleep apnea so I get a CPAP machine. Then I end up with an upper respiratory infection because of the CPAP irritating my airways and such... THEN I end up with a stomach bug.... Then hear about a recall on ground beef (meat I had eaten the night before I started getting sick matched the stamp number but not the dates thankfully) but I went to the ER anyway to get checked out... they gave me something for nausea and sent me home.. so I go to urgent care (this was after 6 days of being sick to my stomach constantly!) and he pokes around at my tummy and sends me back to the ER-so after over 12 hours in the ER (AGAIN!) they discover I have GALLSTONES &&&&& KIDNEY STONES! yes plural. both kidneys. All of this on top of the Chiari and back problems and all else I have going on. And now I might have the FLU! For christ's sake I'm only 23 years old! Work is an issue I missed a few days, then 9 days in a row...and they're saying I can't miss anymore with pay.. and already screwed up my paycheck for while I was out... WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH $93 (from 2 weeks worth of PAY!) I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do. I spent over $150 last week alone on copays for the ER and for dr. appts. So I'm broke, sick, and can't take any time off from work until next year pretty much. >.> just my lucky day eh?

May I ask, r u entitled to FMLA time?....if so u can not be written up for it.....

Is this company a large one....more than 50 employees?

FMLA protects u and u can be off up to 12 weeks!!

Do look into if u r entitled to this.

Ask the HR rep for info on FMLA.

Hi Selma,
I spoke to the HR director at work here... I missed a total of 9 days. apparently they used 6 days of paid time off, then I had 3 days without pay. I don't know what she did. I thought she was going to use 6 days of extended time off and 3 days of PTO... plus the one day I did work.. I should have been paid for 4 total days. I was only paid for 2. (which was listed as PTO and no mention of the day I did work) They did give me a check to make up the difference in what they should have paid me.

So I get written up today because my Time off is now in the negative as far as what I have already earned. This will be the second time I'm written up for nonsense reasons. I really feel like they're trying to get rid of me. I'm so disgusted. My boss was like, I've tried to fight this and it's nothing personal... yea whatever. >.>

So now I can't take any time off again until MAY. -_- nice eh? with all the dr. appointments I have coming up.. this is going to be fun.

Hi Mara...so sorry u r going thru all this....when it rains it pours it seems huh?

I was wondering how u were doing.....I was unaware u could get an infection from the cpap.....

So, did u used up all FMLA time at work?......u get 12 weeks if u r a full time associate at most places .....there is criteria they have more than 50 employees to have to follow the mandate...if ur employer has less then 50 employees they do not .

FMLA does not suggest paid time off, but ur same position and pay when u return.
