Facial pain

I have this sporadic facial nerve pain...like a bad tooth needing a root canal...Dentist and endodontist have checked it...Root canal already done as well as an "apico" (cuuting the end of tooth root off i.e.bone surgey).  They are still checking me and swear that there is nothing wrong with my gums or teeth.  Yet the pain persists.  Seems to start in gum and migrate upward into my cheek and forehead at times.  Right before I was diagnosed with Chiari I had similar stuff going on on the other side of my face...actually that's how we discovered my Chiari...did an MRI to find cause of facial pain...Mixed blessing!  Anyone else have this problem???????

I was looking at this post and I thought I would bring it back out to ask, where and how often do you all have any facial pain? I have some, but it is weird, like my face hurts a little on my right cheek bone, and it's worse when I close my eye or touch my skin there. I know this is probably related to chiari. I think I just get tired of weird symptoms and taking a poll to see who is with me makes me feel less alone in this, lol.

I don't know that I have TMJ...Just one more thing you don't need!!! My pain is more central...goes up into my cheekbone near my nose!  Dentists wonder if it's an ENT problem...But I don't seem to feel any sinus symptoms either!!!  Thanks so much for responding...Hope you can keep this under wraps!  Thanks again!

I get those feelings as well and the seem to center on one side at a time and make my temple very sore and then it goes away after a few days. I realized I. Do have tmj and I clench my jaw while I sleep.  So to add to all the other chiari symptoms yes this is one.  The only thing that seemed to work is relaxing the jaw and heating pad. On back of neck and head. ...
