Hi jenny, good to see yo back and I hope your problems resolve soon....

Seriously? Yeah it's when I eat, and my family keeps looking at me funny! "what is your deal"
Drives me nuts!
O and I forgot since surgery in aug I get hiccupps any time I eat it's so annoying
True! BESIDES I've always wanted a excuse to buy the hair extensions, I might have some fun with this!
they used those strips on me to I dnt no why but the dr said the scar will be less noticable with the strips and I have half my hair missing so 1 and 1/2 Inch is nothing LOL people dnt notice unless they look close and it's a real conversation starter when sombody doesn't no u LOL

Jenny I also wore a hat this summer as I was told to avoid letting the sun hit my scar, and my pony tail was on top of my head and I looked like I belonged to the Hari Krishna's, but said I had a hairy krishna do!!
My biggest issue is my hair color....I really need to color it soon !! : D
Hmm, I wonder if they avoided staples because of my severe allergies. Thanks for you input. I like the idea of hair extensions but I too wonder if they would pull on my scalp causing just another headache!
I'm all for pony tails and will most likely be my style! I also got a really cute hat!!!! I've worn that so far!
Hi Jenny...well u never know how u will be...but I did think u were out in record time.
I was only on the steroids while in the hosp...none to come home with.....
As Tina mentioned above, the odd shape u r concerned with at ur scar may be due to healing....give it some time....and go a bit slower.
I also had the glue and steri strips....and was told not to get it wet, but if they fell off it would be ok. I have EDS that is Y they used this method with me.
The width of hair removed is not near as much as mine....lol....I feel like a cocker spaniel bcuz my hair has grown and is long on the sides by my ear and very short in back.
My hair does not do well short and I pull mine into a pony tail to try and conceal it.... I did say try...as the short hair gets longer it sticks out very oddly and I can not control it....hence Y I can not cut all of it short...lol.....I want to try some kind of hairpiece that would help blend and allow something other than a pony tail....I am a bit old to have my hair like that all the time : )
I do not know what type might work best...at different stages in healing I noticed a intolerance for certain things in my hair...so the clips must not affect the scar.....or be too heavy that it pulls....
If u find a good one let me know.

Hi! I'm sooo sorry that you are having a rough time recovering. They sure did let you out of the hospital fast, I was in for 5 days after mine (on 11/9). I have to wear a neckbrace after my surgery because they did a disc replacement/fusion with the decompression, so the ultra-ugly neckbrace actually hides the missing hair. :) Maybe you should just go for ponytails to hide your wonky haircut, that's what my sister did when she had hers, they took off a lot more of her hair than my doc did.
I'm hoping that you go back to see your doctor soon, it sounds like you have a lot going on. I had staples in my incision for 9 days, after they took those out, my scar is not noticeable, it's really flattening out and going away, although it sounds about as long as yours, it's still a lot better than the other one on the front of my neck. I know that my sister had fluid around her incision site and it seemed like it just took a long time to dissipate, but they might need to make sure that you don't have a fluid leak at your patch. Take care and I hope your recovery goes more smoothly.
Tina
Oh, one more thing,
He cut more then he said he would! more the 1/2 way up my head and all the way down my neck. The shave is 1 1/2 inches wide! Holy hair loss!
Any of you girls try hair extensions to cover this bad boy up, or should i chop it all off?
