Hospital rules

I've been reading a lot of hospital hints lately and have come across people saying to bring your own sheets, blankets, and pillows. However, I've been in three different hospitals in two different states in the past couple of months and none of them have allowed this due to the heightened risk of MRSA and bed bugs that a lot of places are having. In two of the hospitals there were signs posted in the room, saying not to use your own bedding while in the other one we asked beforehand and they said that they didn't allow it. In the last one I was in (University of Cincinnati Hospital) they wouldn't even allow me to wear my own gown or pajamas-I had to wear the hospital one the whole time I was there.

Places seem to be getting stricter these days.

I had to use hospital stuff for surgery but was able to use my own stuff once moved to a room:) (I didn't bring sheets but did pjs)  I was more comfortable without something under my head and bed elevated but we all differ in preference.
