Increasing ICP

Ok, I know many of you will understand. I am 4+ months post op, back at work since 3/1. Things have been pretty
good. In the last week work has been crazy ( nurse). I feel like my ICP is going back up. Old symptoms are reappearing and things just don't feel right. I went through the 3 month reaccurance. I got past that. I have an uneasy
feeling. My post op was tough. Leaking patch with hydrocephalus and a pseudomeningigocele. Am I over reacting?
Can the patch be to small? Thanks!

I understand ur concerns with more surgery, and not being able to work, u r very dedicated...but, u can not ignore this either, it can be several diff things, and mayb meds would be an answer not surgery...and u will not know unless u go to ur Dr....

It is possible for those decompressed to develop ICP, POTS....post op and some have gone 6 months b4 showing symptoms.

And a few others at 6 months found they also had tethered cord that was pulling down on the brain stem that continues to cause symptoms.

It may be u r just working too much....and a slower or shorter schedule may help.....

Just remember to listen to ur body....and do not push too hard.

Yes, I was wondering if  the area created was to small. He trimmed my tonsils and did something to prevent cerebellum sag? On my 3 month MRI the area/flow around my cerebellum was increased but not substantially. My brain had not really expanded into the bone window he created. I'm OK with that if it's where it needs to be. I really don't think I would go through surgery again. It was rough.  I'm working 8 to 9 hour days five days a week. Some days I get a break but lately it's been go go go!! :) My vertigo is returning as well as numbness to my face/tongue, irritabliy, urinary urgency, numbness and neuro pain to my arms and legs but mostly at night. I am terrified. I feel like if I tell anyone I will be back under the knife. I love my job and can't imagine not working. Right now I am a one man show. If I'm not there, the kids don't get the central lines they need. It's not really an option to slow down.

No u r not over reacting, let ur Dr know...

How many hours are u working...with the issues/set backs u had post op, I would not have thought going back to work yet was a good idea, JMHO

Not sure I understand what u mean the patch being too small? Do u mean u think that mayb there is still a CSF obstruction ? And the space made was not large enuff? It is possible, but it is also possible it is too large, cerebral ptosis can also happen and this will cause an obstruction too....
