Which doctor at UAB in Birmingham performed your surgery?  My granddaughter has just been told she has Chiari Malformation type 1 but is waiting to see a surgeron.

Our Drs list is not a referral nor an endorsement for those listed....it is meant yo be a tool for you to research Drs. The list was compiled by members here of Drs they have been to, treated by and liked. Unfortunately it is not an all encompassing list....so you may have to travel to get to a true Chiari specialist.

Since this is an older thread you may not get the replies you would like...try creating a new thread with the questions  OR use the search this community feature to see what others may have said about Drs in the area you are in.

We do have a Drs list and we only add names after the member has been to, treated by and liked the Dr....so if it is on our list then it is a Dr a member here wanted to share with others.

May I ask how old ur Grand Daughter is...not all NS's will operate on both children and adults...and I will see if I can look up who max666's dr was.

I am an adult with Chiari and would love to talk with anyone who has seen a neurosurgeon for this in Alabama or Georgia ( I am in Alabama) about their experience and what Doctor they have seen and their take on their experience.

I think this post is for Max666. I know she is home from Hospital but may not be on very much as she had a difficult surgery......So I will bump it up if any one else can help......
