Hi....I did more research on this topic and it can be a result of CCI and the inability to hold the head up the back hunches trying to provide an area to help hold it up.....everything is lifting up in attempts to keep the head where it belongs.
Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.
As Lisa mentioned above there is a relation btwn Chiari and scoliosis and a few other spinal issues.
Tethered Cord, and untreated whip lash can add to the hump and pains we all deal with......
If u have an apparent hump ur Dr should be able to see it and address it....if not u need a different Dr.
Keep us posted.
There is a strong correlation between Chiari and spinal deformations. Examples include Klipple-Feil, Scoliosis, Spina Bifida, etc. In my family we know this first hand. It's too soon to speculate in your case before your MRI as to your Chiari, but I pray you remain asymptomatic. You may be interested in reading The Chiari Book, it's pretty informative. Good luck and God bless you :-) Lisa
