Mild cerebellar ectopia questions

I was recently told by my VA office that my scans showed a mild cerebellar ectopia. I had my tests ran in january and they are only telling me about it now.they really wont tell me whats going on just to not worry and everything is fine. I feel like i deserve a better explanation than that. The only thing they will tell me is that it is 1mm. I have been having issues for a long time and im kinda hoping this will explain why. Since they wont tell me anything should i seek another opinion? What is my next step?

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Can I assume VA is Veterans Administration? If so, thank you for your service to our country......and you will want to look outside the VA for help. Many of us find it very frustrating locating a well informed and experienced Dr outside the confines of the VA , so finding one inside will be more exasperating then it need be.

May I ask what testing you have had so far? What related conditions were ruled out? And do you know if your Chiari is congenital or acquired?
