Picture share - take 2

Hopefully I will get it right this time. Jeez, you'd think was my first time on the interwebs. ;)

Anyway, I finally just got copies of my images from my last MRI, which was 18 months ago. I can't believe how corked up I am in there! They estimated my herniation was 10-15mm. I'm going for another MRI later this month - including a full spine MRI and cine flow MRI. It will be interesting to see those pics vs. these. I'm having a ton of eye pain and pressure and numbness in my hands and feet. :(

Here they are:

Any thoughts, especially about the second one? Does it look like the CSF is blocked or not? I don't know how to read that.

Hello

I just took a look and I agree with Selma, there is definitely not a lot of room in there!! The part of your cerebellum that is pressed against the skull looks a lot like mine did and my NS was very concerned about CSF blockage. One way to look at it is, look at the first pic of your brain and compare the other side of your brainstem to crowded side. You can see the amount of flow space on the other side is much larger than by the lower part of your brain on the herniation side . This is what my NS pointed out to me about mine and I was like...oh yeah!! It totally made sense to me after that.

Yeah I get that too, and ne eye strain will add to it, and my eye dr suggested this and it does help me....just a thought.

Thanks...it's mostly a pressure behind the eyes, like there is something pushing on them. It's ouchy.

Try a pair of transitions glasses as the tinted glass does help with the eye strain u get from the lights inside and out.....mine do help : )

Thanks, Selma. I do know things ebb and flow...it's always unnerving when you develop new things though! :(  The eye pressure and pain is really sucky. I have trouble driving and reading sometimes because it's really uncomfortable to move my eyes much. So far I haven't found anything that helps with that.

No worries, I could see them both...not sure on the CSF, but u r right u sure r corked up but good.....the symptoms u r having r chiari...and keep in mind symptoms will also cycle and flare...so u will have times where u will feel worse or like u r getting worse and then u may have a period where u may feel a tad better....keep moving forward with the testing.

  Hang in there : )
