Hi...I am coming up on my 1 yr annv and I know we have a few others that r going on 2 yrs, but depending on the type of damage ne of us had prior to surgery will dictate how many of the symptoms we continue to have as well as other related issues.
Have u had a recent MRI to be sure u do not have scar tissue causing ur HA's?
There have been some members that were symptoms free for 5 and even 10 yrs b4 they had a return in symptoms.....so we r all different as to what we can expect.
I am so sorry u r having issues, and would encourage u to seek the advice of a chiari specialist to see if u have a related condition or if it is from scar tissue ect....

Hello!
Of course I'm only 3months post op so I can't answer the question about the 4 yrs but I really don't forsee for me that the neck and back spasms are going to get better soon. PT seemed to be helping but I haven't been able to go for a few weeks so I am wondering if that's why it is worse right now.
I totally hear you on wanting someone who really specializes with this..I wish I had that too!! Instead it looks like I am going to have my GP sending me different ways to different specialists. It would be so nice to have someone that could look at the big picture...
I wouldn't say my headaches are worse..but somedays they aren't much better either.. I was never one of those people that had absolutely killer headaches all of the time, most of the time I could function with mine, it just made me an unhappy person. I would say the headaches I have been having lately are getting back to that level. However, I just had a cold and I am wondering if that's why.
I'm really sorry to hear that you are still having problems after 4 years...it has become more apparent to me lately that that happens to more than a few of us..
