I also have this. Sometimes it sounds as if i'm drunk haha. You'll get use to it and learn how to speak without it. I don't even notice it anymore lol
Yes that is when mine started after surgery. I had a very large syrnix went from C2-T1. I was told the reason is my nerves time to heal. It hasn't did it since then been about two weeks. Yes it can get annoying sometimes. Especially if you are out at a nice resturant and it starts and you start rubbing, people look funny. Hope mine gets better, but if not already deal with it. Have a nice day and thank you for your answers and help.
my tongue goes numb along with my face, I was dx with occipital neuralgia after several surgeries and I know this is why I have it there. Global numbness and tingling is something I have had since surgery very annoying!
Hello cash,
Thanks, I take it to three times a day. I just never had my tongue do this and wanted to make sure it was normal. Since I know it is going to take time for all the nerves to heal. I have the other numbness too hands, legs, and occassionally different parts of my body. The funniest one is my scalp, it feels lilke little worms dumped on your head like a joke as a kid. The grandbaby thinks it is funny sometimes to watch me rub my arms and such when this starts she tells my wife that papaw has ants in his pants nanna.
I have had this since surgery I take gapapentin and it helps a lot.
I am glad that is all it was and nothing more....and sorry I did not get back to u sooner.
Thanks Selma that is what doctor told me yesterday
Hi...I know we had some members that had issues with their tongue...so I am sure it is where ur compression was and how the nerves are coming back to life....as they begin to work again we can have some odd sensations....
Do discuss with ur Dr and let us know what u find out.
