POTS

Hello again!  I hope everyone is doing as well as possible.  Today I had my tilt table test which was positive.  He put me down just before I fainted but my bp dropped to 70/50 and I turned grey.  He explained the communication between my brain and heart isnt working and my brainstem is "pinched" He told me and my dad my favorite position was down. LOL! and regardless of where I was if I started feeling like that to lie down.  Ha! that should be interesting while Christmas shopping!  This is just nuts.   I so hope the surgery fixes this.

I also spent 2 more hours in an MRI machine having the Rosner protocol.  I am so thankful to have finally gotten to him.  I may actually be able to get better from this now.  I see him again in a few weeks after the rest of the test and hopefully surgery will be scheduled in January.  Ready to get this over with, and see how much improvement I am gonna get.  We also spent the night in the hotel by the hospital last night since he will want me to stay close by for a few extra days after discharge. We are about 150 miles from him.   I wanted to check it out when I wasnt recuperating.  Very nice place and his patients get a pretty awesome discount.

As far as symptoms go not alot of new ones at the moment, just more of the same.  I guess I can be thankful for that.

Wishing you all pain free days!

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

The original poster of this thread was referring to the posterior fossa decompression surgery for chiari as they were not sure if she may have POTS as well...some with chiari do, so she was hoping the surgery helped the symptoms she already had and that it was not going to be an issue.

Hope this answers ur ?
