Out side of the mineral and vitamin levels ur dr most likely looked at already...being checked for EDS and a autoimmune thyroid condition is important as many chiarians do have this.
If ur dr just looks at TSH u may get a "normal" reading even tho u have a thyroid issue going on.
What needs to be looked at in addition is free T3 , Free T4, and TPO antibodies.

Have your doctor check to see if your thyroid is swollen. Also, have them check your B-12 and Vitamin D levels.
Throat muscle swelling and palpitations are often with anxiety. This, along with the painful muscles and joints, could be from a magnesium deficiency, which often doesn't show up on tests.
Not all forms are good. Some of the safer and more effective forms include: Taurate, Glycinate, and Citrate (latter can be laxitative, so try with food). I'm also reading the Orotate is good.
