I'm sorry you're dealing with a sick child....I know how stressful that can be and we tend to worry about our kids 10x's than we worry about ourselves.
I believe stress does certainly make symptoms worse, a lot because our blood pressure goes up which causes more throbbing in the head, more ear ringing etc..my ears always ring louder after a warm shower or if I get high strung.
I remember getting that drunk feeling for no reason at all and it would last all day, everytime I would bend over things would swoon around me. I also would get very bad sleep apnea or breath holding as I like to call it.
So, even though a lot of us have experienced this, I would make note of it b/c it could mean that your symptoms are progressing. I would definitely write this down and show it to your Dr. I agree with Selma, if you can access a Chiari Dr..that would be the best way to go.
I hope your day is better today!

HI...so sorry ur little one is sick as well...and I am sure that stress is added to ur issues.
AS for the coughing and gasping for breathe...if u were asleep it could be sleep apnea which is not uncommon for chiarians to develop...so talk to ur Dr asap to discuss this possibility.
And it sounds like u may have blocked the CSF flow when u tilted ur head back so far....that would explain the pressure build up and the ringing in ur ears ect....
I am not sure if the dr u r set to see is a true chiari specialist, but u deff do need to see one that is.Mayb send copies of ur MRI to a few that r for a review? Some charge a nonminal fee, and it is worth getting that opinion.

I get some thing like this, it happens if I am doing something that involves straining like lifting, I get a sound like water gushing in my head and everything goes fuzzy, it only lasts for a short time though (thankfully) but some of the symptoms stay like the dizziness & vertigo....

Hi.
I'm sorry your having all this happening to you.
My 14 year old gets that drunk feeling a lot, especially when he's overtired or stressed. Lately he gets a thing with his breathing were he feels like he has to concentrate to make himself breath. On a couple of occasions he's had problems with seeing and not seeing things too.
I'm no expert. But I do know that when my son gets tired or stressed it triggers symptoms.
Keeping you and your little girl in my prayers and thoughts.
