Thank you to both of you for your replies. I am just having last minute stress and my mind is torturing me with uncertainty. I think baby shampoo will be the one for me. Again, thank you both for your care.
Hi there, wanted you to know I was told to use antibacterial soap and regular shampoo. Also every doc is different. I was able to wash my hair the next day...I just didn't feel like it. I think on day 4 (already home by then) I finally took a shower. Used a shower stool though. Praying for you. When is the exact date..
Did your Dr tell you that? If not do not worry about it as they will be sure the area is clean...do not use any products on your hair but you can wash it the night b4....I had to be at the hospital at like 430 or 530...too early to be doing hair,,my NS also told me not to cut it to put it up in a pony tail and he would take care of the rest....and he did.
Call your Drs office for details on what they want you to do/not do as they all are different in what they prefer.
I thought that I read somewhere that a certain type I should. Use the morning of the surgery.
Hi...you will not be able to wash your hair for a few weeks post op...so until then you will not need any.....and for when I was told I could I was told to use J&J baby shampoo as it is a gentle shampoo...you also will not want to wash your hair often once given permission as it dries out the skin around the incision and can pull it open and makes it feel rather strange.....
Your NS should give you a paper with all the do's and don'ts.....
