Molly   I know  you  have  every  right  to  not trust  Drs  who seem  to be  brushing you  off  as  so many of us have BTDT  too....but, it is possible that he knows something he has not shared....and I know  we  want to know and  understand everything.....

Try and keep  a positive outlook  if possible....

((hugs))  you know  if  you  need  to talk  how to reach me  <3

   Great  suggestion  Frankie!!

Not  sure tho  if  Molly's  tends  to  be  low  on  average  and  could  be  why  she is  so  upset...you  expect  to  hear  more  when something new  develops....me.  mine  has  always  been  very   low....during  pregnancy I am  told  many  experience  high BP...mine  moved into the "normal"  range...but  my  "normal"  tends  to  be  low.

That is not low to cause any problems.  Far as him just saying see you in three months, that is a good thing.  Means everything is going good.  I go see mine and he tells me see you nest year.  My blood pressure would run 112\75 that was normal for me.  But the wife's runs 90-100\60-75.  If it you want to check it.  Go by a BP machine and take it several times during the day.  I did this after surgery to keep a check on it and still do it.

Hi Molly!

Mine is always low and always has been.  However, I was never symptomatic until all these problems arose 4 years ago.  Time and time again the medical assistants/nurses would say....let me retake that BP something is wrong it's reading too low.

LOL...sure didn't.  But again for years they would ask and I said nope no problems here I feel perfectly fine.  Now...not so much with the low BP, problem central.  Finally a PCP I had took the BP in the 3 positions and said you need to drink 2 liters per day and eat 5 small meals as opposed to 3 large meals and lots of salt.  She gave me midodrine rx but I never filled it as I have never liked to take meds.

So I am not sure how much you have had anyone ever look into the low BP but from my relentless search this past year I will tell you what I have learned.  2-3 litres of water per day and tons of salt which helps you retain the water according to the drs.  NO caffeine as it dehydrates you worse and makes the BP lower....again, according to the drs.   I personally drink a large gatorade first thing in the AM then tons of water all day.  I can definitely feel it when I don't drink enough.

Although I once had a nurse say.....I wonder if all the water you drink daily is flushing all your nutrients out of your system causing you alot of your symptoms.  HAHAHA .... makes sense to me.

JH has no doctors that can deal with POTS/Orthostatic Hypotension/Vasovagal Syncope, etc.  That is what they told me when I failed a tilt table study recently there.

My normal BP is 90/60 and on great days it runs 78/50....those are the days I better not bend over.

The 3 month thing all the drs. have going on.....I just had a 3 month followup with Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology and Sinus/Allergy.
I attended NONE of those appts. as I am sick and tired of giving them my $40 and they do absolutely nothing.  The CRNP at my GYN's office is more concerned and attentive to my situation then any of the above drs.

Feeling your frustration.

I can also hear your frustration. I feel very much the same toward my own neurologist. Are you past your surgery? If so, can you locate a new doctor? The fact that you have low bp definitely warrants an answer other than the sarcastic one you got. You deserve to be respected. I hope you are feeling better than when you initially posted.

I also run very low on blood pressure. Which I always found odd prior to my diagnosis, because I am over weight, which usually means higher blood pressure. My doctors have never said anything either, even when I asked about it. Wouldn't the sluggishNess and exhaustion, light headedness, etc be reason enough to look into it. But i read Some where that many people with Chiari often have low blood pressure.

You would not believe how many words I had to correct because of "auto correct" on my phone. Lol I gave up fixing punctuation.  To late tonight! One day I'm just going to leave my post how ever my phone thinks it should be for a good laugh. Lol!
