I had decompression surgery about a month ago I need help!

So I had surgery about a month ago and at first I was healing well now that I chose to no longer take my medication's I was feeling GREAT!!! But now I can't seem to get any relief. I've got so much pain in my neck and nothing I do helps. Heat, cold, walking, lightly exercising tylenol....NOTHING. What can I try to help??

I don't want to continue taking pain medications I hate the way they make me feel.
I really can't handle the pain anymore. Please help.

You may have stepped off the meds a bit too soon since you did have an infection.....are you on muscle relaxers at all....valium?

It may be "normal" for you, but it was not how I felt post op.....not sure you can pin point what "normal" should be since we all are different.

Hi...so sorry to hear you are having this problem and pain......

Did you taper off the meds?.....it may be too soon to be completely off them....what are you dong activity wise?

Some times if we do too much it can cause us to have more pain.....can you describe what type of pain you have? Is it positional?....

I did taper off the medications. Activity wise I'm walking about an hour a day spilt up threw out they day like doctor suggested

The pain is around my incision. It burns like deep fire, stings, sharp stabbing pain. I can feel every heart beat in my neck and head and can feel it in my ears also.

I found out I had a slight infection after daily contacting my doctors office because I didn't feel right. But they say it's most likely gone now.

Idk if this normal but I just can't get relief. I've had a severe migraine for 5 days now that won't go away and my doctors won't listen to me or return my calls.
