OT for here - Arm Pain

I had an x-ray and the doctor said it looks like my ulna and radius (bones in forearm) are spaced far apart.  I am waiting to see an orthopedic doctor.  Anyone know what could cause this.  She said a possilbe ligament injury, I have had pain and some swelling for 8 years.

I asked for an MRI so I could have it out of the way before I saw the orthopedic doctor who would most likely order one, but she said I had to wait for him to order one.

I am a little impatient because my arm is really painful, and I don't want to go see the doctor to only go back week later to hopefully get most answers.

I have been told tendonitis and complex regional pain syndrome as two diagnosis, but haven't had much testing.

Haha, nothing.  I have had the same pain and swelling in my middle finger for 8 years, way before skating.  8 years ago they thought it was tendonitis.  Right nowI don't have a difninitive dx...

HI Kim...if it could be from an injury....could it be from a fall while ice skating?...it could be from many falls and an old fall....

Odd that they were not able to detect this sooner ?may I ask what they suggest to ease swelling and pain?
