CSF leak in Incision?

I'm about. 4 weeks post op from my wound revision surgery and it still hasn't closed. In fact I popped all my stitches when I was nauseous and throwing up. My Ns wasn't all that concerned because the wound wasn't infected and told me since I have eds it will take longer to heal. Now there is a clear kind of sticky fluid coming out of it. Is this csf fluid? I had a leak before but it was from my patch so I'm really not sure what csf fluid look for feels like.

I know what u mean, EDS can be as painful as the symptoms from Chiari....and it can affect how u feel and heal post op....so, u may want to try the wound healing clinic as they may be better to help u.....

Did u talk with Molly? Soccero...she has wound healing issues due to her EDS as well and can offer what worked for her....and it was a very long road for her....so do contact her and see if u can try what she did.

This whole eds thing is new to me. The chiari was my first major surgery and I never knew I had eds until all if this. It's very frustrating to learn to live with.

Yes. I have been throwing up since the revision. And my muscles randomly jerk. That's what happened last night. I was dead asleep then my head jerked forward and I felt something pop. Then today pure blood was coming out of the incision. It's just been such a long road and I'm so over all of this. My ns told me he would do another revision but wants me to go to a wound clinic first. I don't know what to do and who to believe anymore. My family is getting irritated with me never feeling good. They just don't understand it.

  U r still vomiting after the revision?

Call ur Dr ASAP....u may still have a leak....with EDS, they can use surgical glue and sterri strips to help keep it closed....

I had oozing for 9 months or more, as it does take time to heal....I also used a antibiotic ointment to prevent an infection.....

If u r throwing up, that sounds like a leak.....

How does ur head feel?...worse when upright?

Now there is pure blood coming out of it. I think I tore open the incision more when I was throwing up
