Do you mean "cervicogenic" headache? My mother received that diagnosis at one time. She suffered headaches her whole life. What the neurologist explained to her was that cervicogenic headache is a type of "referred pain"(pain perceived as being in the head rather than occurring in its true source). You think you have head pain, and the actual site of th pain can be in the neck. He said that her headache was secondary to another issue that was in her neck. Wherever the pain originates, the intensity can be intense. I hope your doctor has either prescribed an effective pain medication. Or, if not, nothing seems to work for me like 600-800 mg ibuprofen. Ask for your doctor's approval first. I hope you can find some relief.
Hi and welcome back...so sorry you are still having issues....
The headache you mention are typically from whip lash or even weight lifters....
My question to you is, did they rule out ALL related conditions for you b4 surgery? Syringomyelia, tethered cord, ICP, POTS, CCI? Ehlers-Danlos?
Many of the related conditions can cause some of the symptoms and issues you still have post op.
Another question- what have you been doing on a daily basis since surgery and how soon post op did you begin?
