curiosity about symptoms

Has anyone gone through life with very little to no symptoms and then seem to wake up one day with a lovely basket full of symptoms?

I haven't had a day without symptoms in about 2 months (Which is when everything for me started)... I have days where they are very mild though.

I know same here except i woke up being dizzy thinking it was my ears.  No such luck though.  After 3 months i finally got the results.  Disappointed for sure but will get all the info i need and then start making decisions.  It just stinks though.  Yesterday i had a full day with no symptoms and it was a blessing.   I was so happy and lived that day to the fullest.  Keep me posted and know you always have us to talk things over.  God bless!

Yes and he is very nice I had an opportunity to meet him and speak with him at a Chiari conference and he wold have been one of my choices, but I live on the East Coast...so my other choice from that same conference were the Drs at TCI....and I was well pleased.

It is just as important to find a NL or PCP that is willing to learn along the way to help DX and treat ne related conditions u may have...and get them DX'd  as it will help whomever u choose for a NS.

Yeah I was also DX'd with it, but when I got to a true Chiari specialist they told me that was a  wrong DX and I really have Ehlers-Danlos.....

Yrs ago I had seizures as well they did the testing ,found nothing on my EEG.
I was also told I have mild scoliosis....and always had HA's....and a multitude
Of other seemingly random issues  that is until I learned about Chiari.

Different physical activities can trigger symptoms as well as like I said stress, cough from a cold....we can not always pinpoint the trigger....

Make sure they test u for related conditions like Ehlers-Danlos as the drooping eyelids can be associated with a DX of that related condition.

Since Chiari symptoms cycle it is very difficult for Drs and ourselves to connect the dots and realize that they do in fact connect.

It seems everything we do can add to a flare....and we can do some of those same activities for yrs with out a major flare and so this is confusing....it is not a cut and dry situation.

I have had things that i never thought about.
Between 2000-2003, I had seizures at least 5. Doctors never found A cause so i didnt think about it.
For years ive gotten headaches, mild ones at least 1 a week but, never thought about it.
My back has been slightly curved for as long as i can remember but, i never thought about it.
I have an eyelid that slightly droops since at least high school but, i never thought about it.

Then, sometime in December other symptoms started popping up out of nowhere... Now when I think about it, 2nd vaginal delivery with 2 epidurals and i had started going to the gym... i tend to do a lot of crunches and hold the base of my skull for support. I have a whole host of symptoms that showed up in an earlier post I wrote.

Hi...as long as I could remember I knew something was wrong....the symptoms would come and go so I was not sure which if ne were connected. But they did get worse in what felt like over night....and made it feel more like everything was changing all at once.

Bcuz we were born with this, we tend to adjust to many of the symptoms and consider them "normal" but stress, a cough, a sneeze, fall...etc...could trigger the symptoms to flare.
