disappointment on SSI

Well I should of guessed, but the judge that doesn't have a good approval rate denied me on Saturday.  I'm so disappoint and discouraged.  I called my lawyer on Monday and now we go to appeal.  This can take up to a year to be seen.  Please keep me in your prayers.  This doesn't help depression any.

Yes is is affair and it is disappointing because people that know me know I'm doing this because I have to and I can't work.  I can hardly drive any more witht he feeling in my head, but I won't give up.  I worked for 33 years and I know I have a right to it.  I just was lucky enough to have the worse judge in the u.s. to listen to my case.  My lawyer said we have a good chance on the contredicdtions that he stateed in his letter.  I'll just keep praying and fighting because I know in my heart there is no job out there for me.  If there was I would be working it.  I hate being home bound.

I understand its very uncommon for ANY disability to be approved on the first go around. Usually it's logistics and a means to cover their butts, but in the mean time the patient suffers. Good luck on appeal.

I wouldn't bet on the missing limb. I had a friend who lost both legs due to diabetes and was denied because and I quote "when you get prosthesis you will be able to work." He doesn't have insurance to pay for them.

All I can say is don't give up. There are more people who get denied and give up than are approved. That's what the system is betting on. That's what it never should bet on.

Hi Linda....do not let this get u down...this is very typical for those with Chiari to be denied and for it to take up to  2 yrs total...so, try to relax and know this is how a good majority of them go,

Good luck with the appeal : )
