upright mri and eds testing

can an upright/standup show more for a chiari patient? also how is eds tested? i will be seeing my neurosurgeon this week and want to make sure i am asking the right questions and requesting the right tests

  No....not all with EDS will have hypermobility ...u may bruise easy and slow to heal...and there are other symptoms and issues too....

  I only had 7/9 as there was no way I could bend over to touch my toes, my balance was really off and I would have crash landed head first...

  Hi, many feel that gravity plays a role in pulling down on our herniations when we r upright and that can not be seen when we lay down for a MRI...some herniations and obstructions r clear, but for some it may be difficult to see if the herniation is smaller.

EDS can be done by the NL doing a Beighton scale test....they check for hypermobility.
