There r types of reflux and GERD that u do not have heartburn it is commonly known as silent reflux...so too many think they do not have GERD when in fact they do.....if u want more info on this type of GERD let me know.
I've been tested for gerd my les is completely fine. The vomiting has nothing to do with gerd, yet every doctor keeps insisting even though no med works and I didn't qualify for the surgery. Trust me it never was gerd. After the tests for gerd my doctors were convinced I had IBS than psychological problem (took a year to prove otherwise) than gastroparesis than back to gerd and I was told to take meds that don't work again. The only diagnosis that I had that I tested positive for was the h pylora (I highly recommend being tested for especially if you have a history of vomiting) and even though it's gone the treatment did make a difference. I went from vomiting every meal to only vomiting every three weeks. It's not gerd.
I know for me my headaches used to cause me to have an upset stomach. I feel so bad your getting the Chairian run around. I know there is a Dr. out there to help. Just keep being persistant and you will find the right one for you for answer's. Best of luck on this horrible journey of Chairi.
My wonderful current gi doctor is putting in the effort. He reminds me of my fav primary. Although the last thing my primary offered I rejected (I didn't know it was legal in california), he still put in the effort to stop the vomiting without knocking me out three times a day (only meds that work are antinausua drugs). This gi doctor seems like his listening although I made sure he saw the chiari too. I told him diet is the only true way to stop the vomiting but going back on a full liquid diet wasn't a fun idea for either of us. I was asking for a nutritionist referral to see what we can get me on without malnurishing me.
