occipital nerve block???

Hey all has anyone had the occipital nerve block? What do I expect and did it give you relief or not?  Thanks!!

Thank you as much as I have been through it would be great if it were that easy! Scared to get my hopes up but also can't help it.

  That is what she had done....went in for the temp to see how  or if it would help and then had the perm  implant placed.


  I know that my friend had the perm one placed, so it was working for her, I pray u have the same results : )

Yes occipital nerve stimulator would try temp first and if it works really well permanent. If not back to drawing board but he had lots of theories and that is all I ask is to be told there is more avenues to explore that is why I like him so much he doesn't give up.

  What type of nerve stimulator is he suggesting....is it the occipital  nerve stimulator?....

I know another member that has one, but is not available right now to give u much info on that....

Thanks for info my ns wants me to do it if it helps alittle then is a sign it is nerves then wants to try nerve stimulator he have me some research articles that were very supportive of that so will see just another journey on this chiari path!

  I know this topic  has been a thread a # of times, and if I remember correctly it was not a idea that went over well....not sure if it was the injection site being an issue or the overall effects just did not prove to be effective.....
