Got the apt. Have to wait 2 weeks. I guess that's not bad when it's an actual neurosurgeon. Of course, no one ever accused me of being patient. But hey, at least I seem to be on the right track.
That is EXCELLENT. I hope you continue to have a good experience with this doctor. Still be skeptical and ask questions at the appointment, but at least this dr isn't being dismissive like so many are.
No he hasn't officially. I have not actually seen him in person yet. I was tired of getting the run around so I contacted (by email) a nuerosurgeon/professor at my old university. Within minutes, he replied back and requested my normal mri (w&w/out contrast) images. (I had already told him my symptoms and that one of my reports from 2006 said "remarkable for low-lying cerebellar tonsils but I do not think that explains her dizziness" in the original email.) I sent him over 200 images by email and he then replied back saying he wanted to order the flow study and spinal mri's and is having his assistant set up the appointment for me. I find it almost too good to be true that after 2+ years of getting the runaround that I've gotten this kind of response in only 2 days (I sent him the email on Sunday and he responded on Sunday).
Those are normal tests for someone with a Chiari Malformation. Has your doctor diagnosed you with CM officially? If so, it's great they're actually doing all the tests.
