I should have said " stress is the *uninvited* guest..."
To riff on what CW said: stress is like the guy who comes to your party, brings nothing, eats more than anyone, gets drunk, breaks something, gets into an argument, and is the last one to go home.
Biofeedback is helpful, as is meditation--which is free.
STRESS what that? :-/
Unfortunately, that seems to be a real cruel friend we get to deal with. We can't even ask him to leave because he won't!
Seriously, though I think over time we learn ways to tone it down a little. Be it meds for some or learning what our triggers are so we can either control our exposure or avoid completely where possible. For me the key seems to be keeping my focus so that its slightly easier to do self checks on how I'm reacting. At times the only real answer is to shut down for awhile, block all outside influence. Be it via a hobby, movie, computer research, Bible reading whathaveyou. I just have learned to not allow my mind off of that chosen activity until my body/mind can handle it. It takes time and perhaps we will all continue learning how to find our own non-chemical valiums for a lifetime.

I get stressed easily and angry easily. Not much crying tho. Just don't know what to tell ya, still tryin to figure all this out. Its crazy....
Hi Mike...Chiari is crazy in how it affects us and it is an emotional roller coaster,...I cried and still do very easily.....I use to get angry very fast too....we all may have other issues in addition to the added stress or emotional over loads....but it is all a result of Chiari affecting our control center....
Hang in there
