Yes, Dr. Wiebe and another Ortho doc both diagnosed her with TOS. I am glad that your appointment was helpful.
Rebecca
Thank you! I believe I seen the same doctor that Rachel sees. It was quite amazing he asked me to hold my arm above my head and it triggered all of my symptoms I felt before I passed out the three times I did. My hand and arm went completely numb I had so much pain through my neck and shoulder and lost all color it was actually quite strange how immediate the symptoms were with just the position of my arm. From what I understand it causes symptoms in all diffrent positions but arms above the head is a red flag indicator. I guess that could be why my symptoms would flare up so much worse sometimes at work because there were periods of a couple of weeks at a time every two months where I was constantly working with my arms above my head???? Wow maybe things might be falling in place. Now if I can just find out how to get a grip on it? Thanks I will check with Rebecca!!!
Hi Candace...yes youngwife- Rebecca's daughter Rachel was dx with TOS......from what I understand teh area in the thoracic region is compressed and just lifting ur arms can cut off the circulation of blood and CSF and u look like u saw a ghost...pale and feel like u r about to pass out.
Check with Rebecca and see how she is getting on finding a specialist....I believe we found one at NYU hospital in NYC.....
Good Luck
