vascular nerve blockage

Hello, I have a question, I am going to have an MRI done of the vascular nerves and veins in my head and neck to see if there is some kind of blockage or pinched nerve that is still causing the Pressure headache and the ring in the ear, My vertigo still comes and goes. Has any body been dx with something like this. I do have Chiari but they are telling me the symptoms are not related to the Chiari.

Hi Laura,

U seem to have a really good PCP...so I am sure she/he will continue to do testing to find out what all is going on.
As I mentioned, chiari may not be the cause of ALL ur symptoms, but it could be a chiari related condition.

Please keep us posted on ur progress

Hi, they say that the chiari condition just cant start with the fall i took, they think there is more going on. They are going to be doing a MRA of neck and head to see more into the veins and artries to see if some thing is blocked or pinch. I still have this pressure headache and ring in th ear, the balance problem as cleared up and not having the dizzy ness, just cant break this pressure headache, some days are good and other days It is just kills me to move. I dont know what else to do.I am starting to have stiffness in my neck now. So the Dr want to see if something vascular is cause some of this. I asked if this came back normal what do we do? She said we will keep searching till we find the missing piece. She is just my regular Dr, but she now that the Chiari is there, but it is hard to get someone to look at it as Chiari. Dr in cleveland said there was not enough symptoms to have Chiari. So where do i go from here.

the other issues I wanted to mention were cranial instability/settling, Basilar Invagination,Retroflexed odontoid.....pusedotumor cerebri.

Hi Laura...I haven't seen u on here in a while.....
May I ask y they do not believe it could be chiari related .....
........or a chiari related condition?

Did they rule out tethered cord, a syrinx,EDS....there are a few others that I can not remember how to spell at the moment.....I will look them up.

I hope other members comment as well.
