3 years old who doesnt diffrenciate between his name and his twin name

is it normal for one of a three yeard old twin to not know his own name?
he calls his name to his twin brother.
he also can not diffrentiate between his other brothers name??
is this normal? and what can we do for him?

I have a set of twin boys, and they have an older brother and sister.  They went through a stage of answering for the other when I'd call out a name.  If you keep correcting the them, and maybe make a colorful poster with their names written on it, (put it on the wall or some where they can see it all the time) they'll associate the poster and the name and the connection quickly. Make sure you use lots of positive statements about being a twin is special but each one is unique etc.  People would always compare my twins to each other. Who's taller, if they look alike etc.  It was enough for me to put a halt to that. I didn't let people call them "the twins", but always use their names and comparing them to each other makes them feel insecure, so I'd cut people off mid sentence when I heard it coming.  

Your kids will get the hang of it.  The hard part is mom getting the names right when they all get in trouble!  lol I would blurt out the wrong name all the time!
