5yr old pooing pants and cant help it?

Okay so here is what has been going on. My daughter is 5yrs old. She was potty trained at 22 months with no realy problems at all. For the last month she has been pooing her pants. Its not just a streak its alot. I asked her the first couple times to make sure she is wiping her bum and not to rush and than as the week went by I started telling her i was throwing out her underwear if she doesnt wipe properly. I can see now that it cant be that she isnt wiping because why now? Nothing has changed in our home, only better i think and she is under no real stress, she loves school and she doesnt act out, so what can this be? The only thing i can think of is that she has encopresis. I have IBS and she has always had problems with her bms since she was young but not bad enough to cause this i dont think.

You really need to take her to her doctor to evaluate this situation. If she was successfully potty trained, and then this started happening, yes it could be encopresis-- which is a medical condition requiring treatment.
