Growing Drug-Affected Child

by rellishd, Nov 19, 2007 11:41AM
My mother used crack cocaine with me from conception until birth. I had eye sight issues, bed wetting, bad dreams and issues around paying attention. However, despite all of those things I was able to attend regular classes in school including honors classes and am currently in the process of finishing my 3rd year in college.

I am looking  for research on behavioral issues on crack babies that grow up and what the issues are. I am also planning on having children on my own. Is the crack still in my system? Will it be there forever? Will my child have disabilities because of my own exposure? Can i pass any of this drug I was born with onto my children? Where can i find more information and research? I've never used drugs.
