Nervous Tic

by SS2205, Jan 05, 2008 04:18PM
My son is in kindergarten and has always been very well behaved, able to play by himself from a young age, and a good communicator. Over the past year he has started what I would call a nervous tic where he puts the knuckles of one hand on his check and pushes this hand with his other hand. He does this primarily while in the car or while watching TV and he continous to do it for a long period of time. If he notices someone looking at him, he stops and seems embarrased, but within a few minutes he is right back at it. Is this something to be concerned about?

My cousin did that; he still has tics and he is a grown man.  Call your pediatrician and ask for a nerologist referral.
