Friable Cervix

Friable Cervix

About 6months ago, I went to my doctor complaining about severe bleeding during sex, but with no pain. I learned I had chlamydia, and that this was most likely the cause of my bleeding. After doing some of my own research, I believe what I had was a friable cervix due to the chlamydia. I am positive that I am now STD free because I went for a follow up to make sure the antibiotics had successfully treated the chlamydia.
I had not had sex until recently after my treatment of chlamydia 6months ago. I expected my bleeding to go away since my chlamydia had been treated, but I still saw some spotting on the sheets.
Is a friable cervix a permanent consequence of chlamydia? Or should it go away because my chlamydia has been treated?

you need to talk to your doctor about this, you could have PID if you had chlamydia for a long time. was your partner tested and treated as well... are you having protected sex now?

You really should follow up with your doctor and talk about these two issues.

I've had 2 pap smears since, and I tested negative for bacterial infections. I'm having protected sex, and my partner was treated. I believe I had chlamydia for around 6months before I got treated, but I am not 100% positive since there is no sure way to tell.
