It has only been checked once, about 2 years after diagnosis.
I would bet that most that visit here would answer 'NO' that their standard vet probably NEVER checked the blood pressure PROBABLY because the vet didn't have the equipment. On the other hand, IF you go to a specialist or 'UNIVERSITY'.....YES, they ALWAYS check the blood pressure.
No, and then my vet put my dog on medication for high blood pressure, saying it would help slow further kidney damage..
Yes every qtr mine has blood screening and every time the blood pressure is monitored, mine was 180 at first, now 150 I took him off tap water as my tap water had high sodium levels (47mg per ltr) so switched to CKD food and evian water (6mg per ltr) as I didnt want him on blood pressure tablets.

My dog Cooper was diagnosed with a bad heart murmur about 2yrs ago and put on BP meds. Since then he has had labs drawn and they have not shown any kidney issues.- I made sure they checked bc we lost a dog about 3yrs now to CKF But his liver enzymes were elevated for a bit.
Yes, he did that right away. Pressure was a little high so he put Shadow on blood pressure medicien. We did rechecks every couple of months.
Yes. It was on the high side of normal but following urinalysis and negative urine culture for infection the vet prescribed blood pressure med. Had BP checked again just prior to starting BP med and it was elevated (168). Plan to get it checked again today after 5 days on BP med. Vet was concerned today on the phone that symptom of imbalance might be result of BP now being too low.
When first diagnosed, no but when I changed to an Internist she immediately checked, about 2 weeks after first diagnosis.
yes, he checked her BP twice now. normal
My other sheltie, now gone, had very hi BP and we could never get it under control.
yes, my Sheltie BP was checked at DX. He checks each time she has an appointment, doing 3 readings to get an average.
