You might try a product made by Twin Labs called Cod Liver Oil Skin Formula. Some have found it helpful in mitigating dry eyes. I don't know what medications you're on, so discuss this with your doctor before using -- fish oil can, for example, help thin blood, which is great unless you're already on blood thinning medication. I'd also google dry eyes -- there are other things out there people have used that have helped.
Thank you so much, Hava. I will certainly try this.

Hi grandam316,
Dry eyes are not fun. Do you have artificial tears drops? Removing cataracts and replacing with clear lenses should'nt affect your tear production. Tears are produced in the ducts, not the eyeball itself. Your BEST bet is to talk to your ophthalmologist...ask him/her these exact questions. They are the ones who have the true answers to your concerns.
I wish you the best! Cataract surgery...you will be so happy with your new vision! Its usually a day or 2 and...you'll see clearly again!
