blood pressure issues

Hi,
can anyone recommend a natural herb supplement that can help with high blood pressure?

I'm on meds but they make me really dizzy.

thanks, JKV

The very first thing to do is to try a calcium supplement. About eighteen percent of those with high blood pressure will have the pressure reduced with such a supplement. That data comes from a study I reviewed two decades ago for a major pharmaceutical company researching calcium-channel blockers. Squre two is to go to four cloves of garlic a day. Calcium supplements should be tried before introducing any medication, but these days many physicians get their M.D.s by sending in boxtops.

From 18 years managing health food stores, the best supplement I saw was the linden mistletoe formula from Herb Pharm.  You also have to consider diet and exercise, of course.  Garlic is said to work, but studies show it doesn't, so who knows?  I think the problem with the studies was that herbs and supplements are used in combination, not singly, yet they also study them singly.  Dumb.  As for calcium, if you do supplement with calcium, make sure you also add magnesium.  Calcium leaches magnesium out of the body, as do many of the heart medications used, and magnesium is responsible for relaxing the heart muscle.

Apple Cider vinegar with the mother is good at lowering BP as well, and you can research potassium, that helps sometimes.

This breathing technique (pranayam) will help control blood pressure. It is the extra oxygen going into the blood cells, that helps build up the the body systems.Keep a note of any other benefits you experience, while doing this, so you can help someone else.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30  minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

You should also see if, just using a water elimination pill, will do the job. I initially started with a BP pill and now I just take the pill for the water.
