good point george. thank you, i'm trying to fend off all these things that swirl in my head. it will pass, it has to. thanks again.
Hang on in there! Many people on here have been helped by the support from others that have had similar experiences. Do your best to think of good things instead of negative ones. The past is gone, go forward with confidence, avoid 'writing yourself off as a victim' you have had a truly traumatic experience, no question, but you must now get back in the saddle & start to live again. Being broke upsets everyone, so you are justified in feeling as you do ~ but maybe if you can think about (say) what the Japanese survivors that have lost everything must feel like maybe it may help? Things will get better, you are not a hopeless case.\Best wishes, George
thank you, i have applied for medicaid, i'm still awaiting word if i got it or not. thanks so much for your helpful words. just having a really tough time here. i want to enjoy life again. :)
Yes if you are not working you could be eligible for Medicaid and if you are depending on what else is happening there is the Medicaid Buy in for Working People with Disabilities. If you need assistance right away at any time you could go to the hospital and be eligible for emergency Medicaid which could transition to standard Medicaid. There should be other options as well. Having to go through this after a traumatic experience can make things worse but there are ways to seek the help you are seeking within a reasonable time frame.
