I have found over the years that if I get out of the house shortly after breakfast, the day goes better.  I am halfway between introversion and extroversion, which might make some difference to an individual.  I do not have to stay out of the house, but just go on an errand where I have to speak to people.

Having breakfast out, if you can afford it, is a good beginning of a work day.
