Lexapro is the new and improved celexa.Some people do better on it Some dont.
Stick with the celexa for at least 6 weeks .

Noe although both are SSRI's they affect different people differently and are compounded(made) differently, with minor variations. Otherwisethere would only be one SSRI.
Whether one works better than the other is a question that can't really be answered until an individual has used both medications. One may work for them, while the other doesn't.
That is why psychiatrist often have to change various medications and or dosages to find the right medication or combination of medications for an individual patient. This can be a lengthly process. It took me almost 6 years to find a combination which is currently keeping my conditions bearable.
