Corner of the Mouth Irritation

I have an irritation at the corner of my mouth, and I'm very scared it's herpes because of the recent oral-genital contact I've had with my boyfriend and the potential consequences of that interaction for both of us. I would very much appreciate opinions. There are pictures of the sore below.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

I saw the image and this does not appear to be herpetic at this point. This seems to be a fungal infection or a case of angular cheilitis. In the presence of sexual activity however, an STD may not be completely ruled out yet. Angular cheilitis may be fungal in origin. It may also be due to nutrient deficiencies involving vitamins B6 or 12 and even iron deficiencies.

Drink plenty of fluids and eat well. Avoid smoking and spicy food. Avoid extremely hot beverages and strong toothpaste containing high fluoride content. Let us continue to observe this.  I would not advise any intimate sexual contact until this has resolved.
