Ingrown?? or STD??

I have dark hair and generally either shave my vaginal area or wax the hair, so I am used to getting ingrown hairs. But about a week ago I noticed a bump on my upper vaginal area with white...looking like a zit or another ingrown hair that had not been removed. I tried to squeeze it but nothing happened. then today I noticed it was very large and as soon as I applied pressure it popped with white pus coming out. Of course it bled and now after applying alcohol and other antibiotic creams to it I noticed there to be almost a large hole..crater-like. My boyfriend adn I have been sexually active but for the 8 months together there has never been an issue. I am wondering if this be an STD which I have to get tested for or if its just large zit and will heal? There have been no other symptoms or itchiness.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It sounds like boil or a cyst. A boil generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hard. Eventually, the center of the abscess softens and becomes filled with pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head," which can be surgically opened or spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin.
Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean. Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
