Hot Tub Causes Swollen Face and Eyes

There have been two time in the last year I've used a hot tub on vacation and each time has landed me in the ER.  Here are the details.  I soak in the hot tub with the family for 15 minutes, go back to the hotel room and sleep and wake up the next day with swollen eyelids on top and bottom, swollen sinus, and my checks, earlobes and whole face are swollen, hot to the touch and red.  I feel better when I stand up and move around but after 3 days, the face is still swollen and starts to crack and peel on third day.
The first time this happened, the ER doctor thought it was an allergic reaction to a new med.  They gave me some prednisone and told me to give it time to heal.
But not it has happened again and the ER today couldn't really give me an explanation.  He thought some type of heat induced edema.  I looked online and am nervous about lymphedema.
There are no rashes or concerns on any other part of my body and my family did not have any symptoms at all.  It is just me.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? I am begging for answers please.
