hi i have a bump(kinda yellowish) on the top of my lip it hurts when i feel it with my teeth or tung i am trying tooth paste so please answer becasue i think it is a std or some thing please please answer

If you have had any sexual contact and think that there is a chance it could be an STD, it's important that you get to a doctor soon to have it checked out.  Untreated STDs can be a bad thing!

It can be due to a boil. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection.

Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean. Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription. If there are recurrent boils, then please get your blood sugar levels estimated. Also then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.

It could be a scar from an old wound. When I was a kid I played with my lip and now have a white bump inside my lip but its just a scar. Dont freak yourself out, just show a dentist.
